Sunday Morning...

Good morning y'all. Here in scenic Baltimore, it is warm and overcast and muggy. A gross portent of things to come I gather. I hate summer in Baltimore!
I spent Shabbos at the H's. It was nice. Friday night was relaxing except for a weird work nightmare that I had. I need to stop doing that btw: no more bringing work with me. Anyway... Friday night was relaxing. Shabbos morning we all got ourselves together and went to shul to hear Parshas Zachor. I forget every year how short it is. All that scurrying around for like 3 psukim (passages). The K's came for lunch, and it was very nice. After lunch I suggested that both the Mrs. & Mr. take naps, cause they looked beat. Mrs. took me up on my offer, and Mr. went off to shul to learn. I took the 2 girls, and the baby boy and went for a walk. He fell asleep in the stroller and I did not want to take him out, so I stayed outside and rocked him in the stroller for a while. All in all it was great.
After Shabbos we made Y's costume for Purim, he is truly the cutest Chassid ever! That is him in the pic. Today my Abba is supposed to come up, but I do not know if he actually is, b/c he does not answer his phone!

Anyway, I gotta go make bread for Purim Seudah!

Farewell Kelev........

My dad called me this morning at work, and told me he finally had my kitty put down. That is him on the left. The vet said that he was not going to get any better, so they gave him a sedative, and my dad held him, and he just went to sleep. I am going to miss him so much. I know he was a cat, not a human, but we had him since I was in 8th grade. He was such a cute thing, and so affectionate.
Anyway, that is the sum total of what is going on in my life. My heel spur is not getting any better. I went out and bought a new pair of tennis shoes tonite in the hopes that that would help. We will see I guess. Have a good night everyone.

umm.....

Ok, trying to add a picture to my post, but failing miserably. ARGH stupid computer issues, stupid internet issues, stupid dialogue. Anyway............. So today is Tuesday, which means I went to the H's for dinner. At some point today I realized that Purim is a week away, and I do not have a megillah, cause it BURNED! My dad is coming up Sunday so maybe we will go to the book store together, and go shopping. So anyway, after dinner, I gave baths, like I usually do. The 3 year old exhibited her new talent. She tries to pour the water over her own head to get the shampoo out. This induces lots of splashing and giggling, but little actual rinsing. I need to go food shopping tomorrow night, to buy stuff for Shalach manos. That should be fun. I am absolutely zonked, so I am gonna go to bed. G'nite y'all

Shavua Tov!

Hey Y'all! Hope everyone had a restful Shabbos. I read 2 and a half books. Well I finished a book, read another one, then almost read an entire other book. The first one I have read before, and so I enjoyed it. It is 1 of a series by J D Robb, who is also Nora Roberts. She write mindless books, but for some reason, I really like them. The second one I was really unimpressed with. "Romance Reader" by Pearl Abraham. I read the whole thing, but I was unimpressed. Now I am reading a fun novel called "The Devil Wears Prada" by Lauren something. She is FUNNY. All in all, my friends Erev Shabbos wish for a "restful Shabbos" came true, so thanks Pink! I am waiting for a call from SM to see if I am babysitting tonight or not. Anyway, I am burning a CD of oldies music, which I love, and the songs I picked just reminded me of my mom, especially "Leavin on Jet Plane", so I am happy, but teary at the same time. I have no plans for tomorrow, except to try and rest my stupid heel, so the damn spur goes away. I should be home if anyone wants to contact me.
On a different note, I spoke to Mrs. Josh on Friday. That was cool. I hope that she was able to get the cleaning she wanted done before her first married Shabbos. She sounds good. I think that married life will agree with her and her hubby. Maybe now that Sheva Brachos are over they can begin to settle down, and maybe both GET SOME SLEEP!!!!!
Anyway, I have no big plans for tonight either so feel free to message or call.

What a day

Today was not the best day at work. The heel spur needs to go away. Things are beginning to calm down after S & J's wedding which is good. However, I have discovered that just cause you are tired does not mean that life does not go on. I realized that today was Thursday, and I have not gone food shopping, I did not do any shopping for Shabbos, and I do not really care. I was at work until after 7 with no lunch break, and by the time I got home, I was too tired to go anywhere.
I watched Skating with Celebrities tonight, it is a fun show. I have no idea why I shared that. Anyway, I just wanted to post cause I have not for a while (not that anyone signs anyway). Have a good Shabbos/fun weekend y'all

Asher Bara Sasson V'Simcha

For those of you who do not know, the above line comes from the Sheva Brachot (seven blessings) that a bride and groom get in the week after their wedding. I went to one of these party dealies for S & J tonite. It was a lot of fun. So nice to see them all married. I realize that this is all good for them, and they are, G-D willing, going to build a beautiful family together. However, to be totally selfish, I am really really going to miss her. I mean A LOT!!! She truly kept me sane (yes I AM sane) for the last few months. I need to reiterate here, to whoever reads this, that I am really happy for her, and for them. I think they are a great couple, and that they are really good for each other, but I am having a lot of trouble with her leaving. I know it sounds bad, but there it is. Anyway, that is the bride and the groom there on the top left. G'nite y'all.

I apologize that I did not have a chance to write my usual Erev Shabbos entry. I was busy trying to get the apt. ready for S' Shabbos Kallah. Which eventually I did. We had a bunch of girls over, and it was really really really nice. This morning I went and got my hair done (such a deal), then rand errands for S&J for a while. Eventually I was allowed to go back to my apt and get changed and all. Then I ran over to the hall, and WENT TO A WEDDING! They are married! MAZAL TOV guys! I know that you will not get a chance to read this, but I am so so happy for you, and as your start your lives as husband and wife (yikes!) I wish you all the Mazal and Bracha in the world. You should be zoche to BNB (Build a Bayis Ne'eman), which I know that you will do together. You complement each other so nicely. Anyway I am clearly running on, so I will go now. Just be happy, ok.

S, we love you! If I am tired, then you must be exhausted. I hope that all went well getting friend from airport. Chosson is really nice, I know you knew that before. Anyway for the rest of you, making a wedding is apparently much more work than I suspected. Add that to the fact that I am not sleeping well, and you get one tired F. I cannot wait for Sunday. The wedding is gonna be so so so so much fun. I took care of part of that tonite when SM and I picked up shtick. We got good stuff too! Anyway, I am going to go relax till D gets here with the cake and stuff for the Shabbos Kallah. Oh and BTW, I decided that the Shabbos Kallah will still be fun even if my apt is a bit messy. Tuesday.... (w/out pics)

Ok, first of all..... A 3 year old, and a 6 year old move a LOT of water in a bath tub! I got soaked! My cousin called while I was trying to rinse soap out of the 6 year olds hair. She had good news. IY"H in August I will be a cousin again! B'sha'a Tova. Second of all, it appears that we did not make as much progress as I had hoped on Sunday. To put it a different way, if we made progress it was re-done yesterday. I bought all the paper goods for this weekend, so that is good. I made my shopping list for tomorrow, and I also need to go pick up the shtick (fun stuff) tomorrow. Thursday I need to go to Seven Mile Market (G-D help me) and get the deli. I still think I need to take Friday off, but it is NOT gonna happen. Oh yeah, on a side note, I have NOTHING to wear to the wedding. Oh well! I am gonna go wait for DH to bring a table, and take a mattress.... G'nite y'all

Sunday.....................

Hello People............
So I went to THW's Bar Mitzvah today. It was so nice. I know that it is hard for him to speak in public (he has Asperger's) but he did a beautiful job. I cried (I am a sap.) After that I went to SM's brother in law's Lchaim. Cause she said I wanted to! So I went and I helped clean up. The first pic is of the H family all dressed up, the second one is the Bar Mitzvah boy. Now I am home and trying to help S not freak out. I think we are making progress with the seating, although it is slow. We made arrangements for someone to pick up her parents at the airport, and the Shabbos Kallah is just about planned. In short, we are getting stuff done but it is slow. BRRRRRRRRRRRR.........

Ok, first of all, it is freakin cold outside! I went to Rite Aid to pick up a prescription tonite, and it was absolutely an excersize in frustration. I firmly believe that if you work in a pharmacy you need to speak ENGLISH! She tells me that my script is not there. I insist that it is there, cause I know the doctor called it in. No, not here, she insists. I (calmly) suggest that she look again. Magically it is there. Go figure. Then I made the HUGE mistake of asking her if she knew where something was. I mean, it is not like I did not look on my own first. I went to the aisle marked with the product that I needed, it just was not there. Whatever.
After that I went to the H's to babysit. MM did NOT want to go to sleep. I mean even a little. You could see that he was exhausted. it was almost as if he was saying "no, no, I won't fall asleep, there is stuff to see!" Eventually he went down, B"H. Anyway, Me and my Ben & Jerry's are gonna go hang out then I am going to bed. (I lead such an exciting life)

Shabbos

Just wanted to wish everyone a good Shabbos. Work has been crazy this week. I hope that it calms down a bit next week. Boss asked me if I wanted to come in Sunday. Let me see, do I want to come in on my only day off? UMM.... NO!!!!!!!!!1 In any case, I have a real excuse this time. I have a Bo BaYom (actual date of the Bar Mitzvah), and I have a L'Chaim (engagement party). Anyway, I need to go get ready to bring in the holy Sabbath. Have a good Shabbos Y'all!!!!

Tuesday................

I did what I normally do on Tuesday. The abberation last week was just too much for me. I was thrown off all week! So I went to give baths. I got soaked, like I always do. The girls seem to think it is really funny to splash. Normally I think it is funny, but I have not been able to get warm all day. So after the bath I was cold, and wet, which made me colder. On the plus side, I got a spot right in front of the building. If you know Pickwick, you know that is EXCITING! Anyway, This is the most recent pic of the H gang. Cute, aren't they? I am gonna go shower, then crawl into bed and watch the Olympics. G'nite y'all.

Wow!

It snowed..... a lot! I dug out my car this morning, took forever. I looked out this afternoon, some yahoo and dumped snow in front of my car. That just ticks me off. At least I turned my car around so that I can pull out forward tomorrow. I am supposed to return Kelev to my dad tomorrow, we will see if that happens. He (Abba) did get home safely from Florida, so that is good. I think that I am going to read some then turn in early. G'nite y'all

Not Dead!!!

For those of you that care I made it home from Hunt Valley without killing myself or anyone else. It was snowing when I left, but I followed all the safety tips anyone has EVER given me. I am posting a pic of the hotel room, just so you can see how nice it was. I slept so well. I am home now. Watching the olympics, which gives me something to do.
Last Sunday, I went out with my friend all day, which was really nice. The pics of the scary fish, and the Medievil looking stuff is from there. We had a good time. I am sorry it took me so long to post pics, but I was busy with the NEFESH conference this week. I am not certain that I am making sense, but make of it what you will.
I will share one thought before I go. I went to a shiur (academic lecture) today. The subject was "How does Bitachon (faith in G-D) affect anxiety and depression?" It was AMAZING! He proved, with empirical evidence, that the more one has Bitachon, the less anxious, and depressed they are going to be. It was really cool. I was impressed.

Boker Tov (good morning) Y'all! It is 10 to 8, and I have been up for like 2.5 hours, which blows. I am soo soo soo soo tired. This week has been exhausting. I did not leave work till 7 last night, which was the latest. The earliest I left work this week was 5;30, and that was Monday, before the insanity began. I am really looking forward to Shabbos at the hotel, I just hope I have enough time to come home after work, and do liitle things, like shower. Anyway, time to get going.

a change of pace

I did NOT go give baths tonite. SM went to the "Women's Showcase of Talent" to sell chinese auction tickets (no, you don't win a Chinese person). She did not stay for the showcase, and I was not interested in going alone. Instead I went to my friend J. He is my friend the soldier (well one of them), and I have not seen him in a while. He is doing well, B"H. He had some minor surgery today, but on the whole seems to be adjusting to the amputation remarkably well. I also saw M, who I have not seen in a LONG time. Anyway, that is all from here. I know, I am boring. Y'all will have to deal. Oh Pink: thanks for the computer help, and for listening to me complain, as always, it is appreciated!

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I guess my boss will be happy. Superbowl XL is now history. The Seahawks did not suck, but Pittsburgh was better. Ppl from Pittsburgh are gonna be INSUFFERABLE now. Darnit! There were at least 2 calls that I think should have gone Seattle's way, but I am not an official, and I do not get paid by the NFL. Gonna go watch the presentation of the trophys now, then off to bed. By the way, the only cool thing about the Steelers winning is that Jerome Bettis gets to go out in his hometown, on a high note. That is kind of cool, but I still wish they had lost. Watching Trophy presentation now, and the MVP is.................... Hines Ward! Totally thought it would be Bettis.
As a side note, as much as I do not like the Steelers, and I really really don't, Bill Cower is a classy guy. it galls me to admit that they deserved to win, but they really did. They fought tooth and nail to get to the playoffs this season, and their work paid off. I really wanted them to lose though.

Hello Y'all

I hope everyone had a nice Shabbos. I did, but it was kind of lonely. Tonite I went out with S. We went to Wal-Mart, and bought all sorts of necessary stuff. Then we went to SM's house, and hung out there for a bit until she was ready to go out. The 3 of us went to Goldberg's. We had a really really nice time. There were teeny-boppers there, but they were kind of innocuous, unlike last weeks kids. That is us at the left. I am on the right(Obviously) and the one in the head covering is SM, we have been friends since HS. The other one is S, she is my friend who is getting married 3 weeks from tomorrow. I am so lucky to have friends like them. I know I complain an inordinate amount, but they are always there for me. Each of them in their own way let me know that it was not so bad to be 30. I have other good friends too, including a couple who preceeded me to 30. So in short, thanks to all my friends. I may not say it often enough, but I am truly thankful for all of you.
